Description

Aerospace Avionics Sales Manager

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data into meaningful and useful business intelligence
  • Manage current distribution partner relationships while cultivating new partners where business opportunities exist
  • Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work
  • Work with the customers and Engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements
  • Communicate with the Business Development teams to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery
  • Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands
  • Help clients to solve problems with product usage
  • Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer a technical discipline with a balance of business acumen. With a minimum of 5 years direct industry experience.
  • Must have a demonstrated data analytics background with a proven track record of using data to make sound strategic business decisions
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Excel
  • Prefer the person to be onsite in Melbourne, Florida but open to some amount of remote work for the ideal candidate. It is expected this person is a road warrior, expected to be traveling 30-60% of the time, both internationally and domestically

Desirable Qualifications

  • Sales and or P&L experience in the avionics, aviation, or electronics industry
  • Distribution management experience, preferably integrating distribution partners
  • Electronic and technical experience
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of the avionics competitive landscape, products, and systems
  • US Citizenship required
