Description

CPSI, a leading provider of healthcare solutions for community hospitals, is currently seeking Network Administrators to be a part of a team of experienced IT professionals

The Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, & support of data networks and related network equipment. The position seeks to ensure the uptime, performance, resources, & security of the networks managed, including local, wireless, and wide area networks. Typical duties include network monitoring, implementing, supporting, upgrading, and managing of switches, routers, wireless, controllers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems as well as security policy maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and technical support.

Essential Functions:

  • Installation and maintenance of network gear according to documented plans and change control processes
  • Administer network systems to ensure their continued operations through proactive review of logs and system consoles
  • Research warnings, errors and reported issues to determine the root cause; prepare action plans; and document, test and implement solutions
  • Respond to situation tickets in the assigned support queue in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Successfully meet established situation quality measures
  • Participate in the "On-Call" rotation for after-hours support
  • Contribute to an atmosphere of knowledge-sharing
  • Consistently meet target dates for duties and assignments
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualification: 

  • Cisco network certification or equivalent
  • experience with network design, installation, and configuration
  • experience with network monitoring tools
