The Software Engineer will perform various software development tasks throughout the development life cycle including, requirements gathering, data analysis, software design, software development, database design, coding, A/B testing, deployment, and documentation, as well as implementation of software solutions. The Software Engineer will work with the E-Commerce teams in Prolific1 to identify areas where software improvements can be made, and work to create and implement those solutions. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working with technology, as well as analyzing the technical needs of the business to create robust solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential internal clients and with other persons in a position to understand service requirements
• Coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting programs.
• Assisting in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.
• Gathering information from the system, analyzing program and time requirements, and preparing documentation to change existing programs
• Arranging project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements, and preparing documentation to change existing programs
• Creating appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation
• Designing programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs
• Confirming program operation by conducting tests, and modifying program sequence and/or codes
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Remaining abreast of, and researching, industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and to remain current with industry standards and technology
• Design and develop detailed dashboards and reports for internal and external use

Required Skills: • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI or Qlik Sense
• C#
• ASP.net
• SQL Server Design and Development
• Experience with IDEs such as Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
• Understanding of databases and 4GL programming languages, such as T-SQL
• Experience with software development, documentation, and testing.
• Familiar with documentation like process models, Entity-Relationship Diagrams, etc.
• Knowledge of basic RDBMS design and development.
• Excellent programming skills, troubleshooting skills, time-management skills, communication skills, and a laser-focus attention to detail.
• Knowledge of basic SDLC practices and coding standards. • SQL Server DBA (preferred)

• Understanding of Business Concepts (preferred) Required Experience: • 4 year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required
