As a Multimodal Traffic Modeler, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and documentation of traffic analysis for projects including but not limited to corridor studies, system studies, intersection control evaluation reports, school circulation studies, and interchange justification reports.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assist in preparing traffic analysis by primarily using VISSIM but also with other software including but not limited to Synchro/SimTraffic and Sidra on complex transportation projects in many different settings (freeways, signalized expressways, suburban arterials, and urban core roadways).
  • Documents analysis results in project traffic reports, intersection control evaluation reports, and interchange justification reports.
  • Lead team to ensure completion of traffic analysis tasks and/or projects focused on traffic analysis.
  • Actively participate in both internal team and client meetings
  • Assists with mentoring and developing professional and technical staff
  • Travel to facilities and other projected related locations as necessary.
  • Maintains confidentiality of company and client related information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, or a related discipline
  • Minimum (3) three years of experience in traffic engineering using VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, etc.
  • Must be proficient using MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven technical writing ability
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and your own transportation. You will be reimbursed for business-related travel.
  • Ability to actively listen to others to gain an understanding of project context and goals; ability to read, speak and write English clearly is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certified
  • Experience leading traffic analysis tasks
  • Experience using VISSIM to model a diverse array of facilities and project types (freeways, arterials, roundabouts, parking lots, etc.)
