Share Email Opening Title Controller  Astronics Subsidiary   Location   Description General Summary Performs a wide range of accounting and finance responsibilities in support of the Integrated Product Teams, including, but not limited to tracking and reporting of program/contract progress and execution; program accounting; development of annual budgets and financial forecasts; and participation in the contract pricing process for bid/quotations preparation.   Principal Duties and Responsibilities Participates, assists, implements, and administers cost/program accounting systems for the capture, allocation, and financial reporting of program/contract performance. Identifies, forecasts, and assists with progress and milestone payments to optimize cash flow. Oversees the preparation of Estimates at Completion (EAC), including assumptions, for the measurement of program/contract progress in meeting master schedules and contract commitments. Assesses and communicates the impact of EACs on financial statements. Assists the Integrated Product Teams in the preparation of Project Status Reports (PSRs). Collaborates with the Integrated Product Teams and proposal development teams in the bidding/contract pricing process for commercial and government/military contracts. Provides cost projections and financial modeling for the development of pricing strategies. Serves as the key financial contact for audits conducted by the Defense Control Audit Agency (DCAA). Provides assistance for internal and external audits to ensure the integrity of financial reporting systems and processes. Assesses the reasonableness of financial assumptions for preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts and communicates risks to management. Input includes but is not limited to cost, bookings, shipments and cash assumptions. Prepares budgets and forecasts and supporting schedules that meet all Integrated Product Team, division and corporate requirements. Develops and implements processes for the creation of special variance reports on an earned value basis that enable management to identify program performance issues and take corrective action. Performs finance activities required for deriving monthly sales incentive compensation eligibility. Reviews commission reports to determine bookings credits attributable to the respective plan participants by incentive plan measurement. Performs other financial functions including but not limited to reviewing standard costs for accuracy, and supporting special projects for Finance and the Integrated Product Teams.   Position Requirements Job Specifications Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.  Must have seven or more years' program finance management experience in the defense industry. Must have earned value experience and be knowledgeable regarding Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Control Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.
