TicketNetwork Cloud Operations is responsible for both facilitating internal development efforts and maintaining site reliability for the infrastructure (IaaS) that our software as a service (SaaS) platform runs on. This position will work closely with all other teams to optimize performance and security on our infrastructure, and to assist incident management in the production environments. Key responsibilities for this role include facilitating application upgrades, building infrastructure enhancements, and managing ongoing tasks.

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Able to provide enterprise-wide technical support for the company's platforms, including web application, service, and API configuration, server hardening & security, problem identification & resolution, and application support.
  • Knowledge in IaaS automation for the configuration and deployment of Windows and Linux servers and platform infrastructure services.
  • Being the key contact for specific service lines. Stay current with all platform upgrades and enhancements. Work with vendors and internal technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with tooling to monitor infrastructure and platform performance to maintain agreed performance metrics. Take proactive steps to improve performance when necessary. Escalate issues as needed.
  • Comfortable providing any infrastructure and security requirements for new projects.
  • Knowledge of various automation tools to create and maintain code automation pipelines for infrastructure
  • Able to work on-call for off hours work as required.
  • Comfortable creating and delivering presentations to leadership to illustrate ideas for technical or process improvement.
  • Responsible for:
    • All platform infrastructure both in public cloud and in TicketNetwork's data center while we transition.
    • Being the first responder for server, network, and infrastructure issues.
    • Performing expedited root cause analysis and escalating the issue to the appropriate teams when necessary.
    • Creating and documenting policies & procedures, installation instructions, configuration guides, and other relevant documentation as needed to help maintain a knowledge base for the team.
    • Building and maintaining infrastructure automation capabilities
 
Position Requirements

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Understanding of PaaS and IaaS concepts in both AWS and Azure
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server and Windows Active Directory
  • Knowledge of VMWare enterprise apps including vCenter and Horizon
  • Passion for automation over manual tasks
  • Ability to support SLOs and SLIs in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree
