Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician/Handyman
Wage - $15.00 - $25.00 DOE
Shift: Full-time. Monday through Friday and some Saturdays; 7:00am – 3:30pm

Job Summary
We are looking for a hard-working and dedicated facilities/maintenance technician to join our Thanksgiving Point Facilities Team at one of the most unique and exciting places to work in Utah. Thanksgiving Point Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm, garden, and museum complex, and includes 5 venue experiences across two campuses, several restaurants, catering, public and private events, and over 20 buildings. The individual in this role will be responsible for performing assigned repairs, inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, occasional installations, or renovations on all Thanksgiving Point Institute building systems and infrastructure to ensure safety, functionality, code compliance and maintain aesthetic appeal. Candidates should have considerable experience in maintenance and construction, preferably in two or more trades. Some experience in plumbing and light electrical work is preferred. A strong desire and willingness to learn and work well with others is a requirement and is considered to potentially take place of a certain amount of experience to some degree. Technician is expected to complete a variety of work orders as assigned, including occasional set up and take down of events, and assist other facilities staff with projects and maintenance. Some experience operating heavy equipment is a bonus. Technician is responsible for keeping Thanksgiving Point facilities operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. Technician should take the approach of viewing the property with the eye of a customer.
