Revenue Cycle Manager 

About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.



 
Description

The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for identifying client reimbursement issues, ensuring claims, denials and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues. This position will provide guidance to the billing staff to ensure timely processing on claims, rebilling, write-offs or refunds. The Revenue Cycle Manager position will also be point of contact for analyzing/researching why specific accounts remain unpaid; working with health plan representatives and other employees to resolve problematic claims, then resolving unpaid claims by either re-billing the services; facilitating a write-off or refund, or by filing an appeal to the third- party payer. The Revenue Cycle Manager will also provide training and on-going guidance to the billing team and report concerns and recognition regarding department needs.

Position Requirements
  • Preferred - Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or Business Administration and 3-5 years related experience as a Revenue Cycle Manager.
  • Experience with ABA, CTSS, and EIDBI helpful.
  • Understanding of the credentialing process for therapists and staff
  • Knowledge of third-party payer requirements including federal, state, and private health care plans and authorization process.
  • Proven experience in healthcare billing, including Medicaid/Medical Assistance
  • Knowledge of basic insurance policies, procedures and reimbursement practices.
  • Knowledge and maintenance experience with electronic health record systems, specifically billing
  • Management of multiple duties, basic computers skills, and interaction with providers and administration.
  • Ability to analyze work methods to effectively organize work, make improvements, and correct problems.
  • Supportive of the goals and objectives of Minnesota Autism Center.
  • Think and work effectively under pressure and accurately complete tasks within the established guidelines. Prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential, HIPAA-protected information.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment in making decisions within the scope of authority of the position.
  • Strong customer service skills required
