Xperi Content Intern - Summer 2023 - (Gold Rising)

Xperi is looking for a creative and determined intern to provide real-world experience of executing premium technology and business solutions to the cinema industry, including its customers and consumers. As a member of the DTS Content team, the content intern will be responsible for collaborating with teammates across functions in support of DTS programs for cinema and home utilizing DTS:X technology.

  • Through the Xperi content internship experience, intern will learn more about the following: How the cinema and Imax Enhanced business at Xperi works
  •   About the DTS brand and DTS:X immersive audio solutions
  •  How DTS works with our partners to create amazing experiences utilizing DTS technology
  •  How to contribute to a broader business team by creating creative and operational processes and procedures which help improve team performance and customer engagement.


Focus project

The best internships have focus projects that the intern can own and that have a clear deliverable at the end. This gives the organization tangible value that carries on after the internship is over and gives the Intern a great story to share with future employers that shows the impact he/she made at the company. The focus project for this internship will be the development and execution of technical educational and marketing presentations for DTS:X for IAB and Imax Enhanced ecosystems to be shared with content, distribution and technology partners.


Reporting relationships/key contacts

  •  Intern will report directly to Senior Manager Content Development who will provide direction regarding DTSX and Imax Enhanced content operations, systems and coordination and is responsible for enabling the intern’s integration into the Xperi content team and into Xperi overall and will assign tasks/priorities and manage intern’s work directly.
  • VP, Content & Strategy, will be the intern’s second mentor and will be available for industry insights and direction regarding matrix operations within Xperi
  • Director Integrated Marketing, will be the intern’s third mentor and will provide direction regarding the integration of intern’s project into the Xperi marketing plan. 



Intern responsibilities will include and not be limited to:

  •  Hybrid Work in person & from home for approximately 35-hour week according to TBD schedule
  •  Work with Sr Mgr to conceive, develop, and deliver on the assigned tasks/priorities and deliverables of operations and the focus project with presentation to the content and marketing teams
  • Work with content, audio and marketing teams to execute integrated focus project campaign.
  •  Learn about and be exposed in a professional environment to the business process of immersive sound as practiced in studios for their motion picture audio tracks and in movie theatres as part of their theatrical sound systems.
