Share Email Opening Title Driver / Courier  Location Burbank - (MQL)   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Salary Range   Shift Various Shifts   Scheduled Days None Specified  Scheduled Hours None Specified  Description JOB SUMMARY The Traffic Associate (Driver/Courier) performs duties such as: picking up samples from clients as well as payment from COD clients, collecting client samples following established and well defined protocols, performing preassigned collection duties, and purchasing products from food stores for analytical purposes. The Traffic Associate (Courier/Sampler) may also deliver requested products to clients. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Pick-up samples from clients, using proper sanitation and sample storage as described in Certified Laboratories Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Follow established and well-defined protocols to collect samples of food from clients establishments; manufacturers, processors, packers, re-packers, shippers, importers, etc, Complete all sample Collection Reports accurately and fully; including sample number, collection date, photos, identifying information. Complete all other required paperwork including sample log pick-up. Transport all samples to labs according to established transport procedures while maintaining samples at proper temperatures. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Maintain vehicle and all other property of Certified Laboratories assigned to the driver. Maintain and track all petty cash monies and receipts. Interact with clients in a professional manner with a professional appearance Perform other services for Certified Laboratories, as designated by Management.   Position Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or G.E.D 2 years of professional driving experience preferred Training in general laboratory practices Will have a current, valid driver’s license issued in the State of operation A driving record with no DUI’s or major moving violations or accidents within the past 60 months Demonstrated professionalism, dependability and initiative in prior work experience Basic knowledge of concepts and practices of a testing laboratory preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
