About the Organization York Support Services Network (YSSN) is a non-profit agency providing streamlined access for mental health and addictions services as well as case management and community crisis response services within York Region and South Simcoe. It is a designated administrator of the Developmental Services Ontario program and offers access for adults to developmental services in central east region.

One Full-time Contract position to March 31, 2023 (with a possibility of extension or becoming permanent)

Developmental Services Ontario Central East Region is one of 9 regional points of contact for people who apply for adult developmental services. The regional points of contact will be a single window to provide information, confirm eligibility for service, determine services and support needs and link people to services and supports in their community.

Working as a team, the Navigator is responsible for the provision of a variety of system functions within Central East Region. These include intake functions; management of the waitlist, vacancy management processes and compilation of data.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Social Services or related discipline (i.e Health Sciences)
  • Minimum three years related experience
  • Experience working with individuals who have a developmental disability is essential
  • French as a second language and an understanding of cultural diversity are considered assets
  • Knowledge of the local service system and its providers are required
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
  • A valid license, appropriate business insurance and reliable vehicle are required for this position
