Job Title: Assistant House Manager – Stage I & II

Job Classification: Seasonal & Part Time

Reports To: House Manager – Stage I & II

Scheduling: Varies based off rehearsal and performance schedules. Evenings and weekends are regularly required.

 

Job Overview: Under the direction of the House Manager, the Assistant House Manager will supervise all front of house operations for Stage I & II. The Assistant House Manager will work to solve customer service ticket issues, and provide general support in all aspects to the House Manager in our hospitality-minded environment. They will assist in all aspects of our patrons’ experience and help to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all. This individual must be able to manage several responsibilities at once such as overseeing ushers, patron safety and the guest experience. This role will be an extension of City Center and must demonstrate a passion for supporting a great patron experience while upholding City Center’s mission, and our commitment to being an anti-racist organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Stage I & II Ushers’ rotating nightly assignment of duties to ensure that all Ushers can work all positions
  • Assist the House Manager in helping patrons with any ticketing issues or seating issues
  • Assist in the set-up of ticket scanners
  • Oversee the assistive listening device area and ensure that each night they are turned on and working properly
  • Assist the House Manager to implement and improve Front of House procedures and systems.
  • Assist with customer service interactions during performances to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Assist the House Manager in any evacuation procedures and obtain your F3 Fire Guard certificate
  • Assist the House Manager in the general running and managing of the front of house and other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

This Role Requires:

  • 2+ years of previous customer service
  • Flexible availability to accommodate events any day of the week and varying schedules; afternoons, evenings, weekends, and some holidays required
  • Ability to obtain F3 Fire Guard Certificate upon hiring (required)

As a valued member of the City Center team, you will receive:

  • $72 per performance (1 ½ hrs prior to curtain through end of show).
