Share Email Opening Title Mountain Host   Description Position type: Seasonal, Part-time: Volunteer / Unpaid Reports to: Director of Marketing Would you like a season pass for the season or tickets to give to friends and family? Do you love talking to and helping skiers? Our Mountain Hosts will be the gateway to Bromley, helping answer guest questions on ticketing, lessons, locations of resort amenities and anything else guest’s need assistance with when they arrive. When the day starts with an easy process, it sets the right tone for the rest of the guest’s visit. Summary: Primary responsibility is to provide outdoor customer service, answer questions, and help guests navigate the resort. Duties and Responsibilities: Front of lodge greeting and assisting skiers with their equipment Assist guest on and off shuttle bus Assist guests with lift ticket purchasing and redemption Guide guests around the resort, answer questions about lessons, kid’s drop-offs, etc. Other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Qualifications and Competencies: Strong customer service background Must be able to work weekends and holidays Able to withstand extreme cold weather conditions Able to work standing up for extended periods of time Safety conscious and oriented Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexible in response to changing assignments and working in a fast-paced environment Must maintain personal appearance in accordance with Bromley standards Reliable transportation Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no staff supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: This job operates primarily outdoors in all forms of Vermont winter weather conditions. This position is on snow in the base area and paved, possibly icy, surfaces in the base area and parking lot. Physical Demands: This is a physically active role requiring several hours of standing and working outdoors. Occasionally indoors as well.
