Visual Merchandiser

Essential Functions:

  • To work with retail operations to agree and review department plans to ensure that correct procedures are followed during all stages;
  • To provide relevant and timely analysis and planning documents to both retail operations and store management;
  • To maintain open communication with retail team and buyer;
  • To establish and maintain manual of good practices for retail team and to upgrade manual seasonally;
  • To establish promotion calendar and promotional materials;
  • To identify and recommend fixture for retail locations;
  • To work with store managers and buyers to establish and grow a team for each location to improve visual appeal of retail space;
  • To identify potential growth areas and provide solutions for factor that limit sales;
  • To support the implementation of healthy safe work practices;
  • Other job related duties;
  • Other duties as assigned.




Position Requirements


  • To keep all parties informed of changes to agree critical path and buy plans
  • To review, update and distribute all data regarding layouts for both seasonal and standard changes
  • To react quickly and provide solutions to issues arising from anomalies in plan vs. installation
  • To work with buyers to target markets with potential growth
  • To identify core lines which may be successfully intergraded;
  • To be aware of brand/customer profile and ensure product and displays do not compromise integrity
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Exceptional customer service orientation;
  • Self-motivated and detailed-oriented;
  • Must be able to set and reach goals;
  • Must be a team player but recognize individual responsibilities;
  • Computer literate-experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Good work ethic;
  • Able to work with minimal supervision;
  • Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures;
  • Able to maintain good relationships with co-workers;
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends;
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within and outside of the company.
  • While performing this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. Most activities involve repetitive upper body movement and bending. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (unless otherwise restricted).
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is required to frequently operate a motorized vehicle.
  • Position is home based completing tasks related to visual Merchandising of our retail department. Will occasionally be working alongside and/or managing others with social, mental, and emotional disabilities.
