Location: Waltham, MA

We are currently seeking a Sophomore, Junior and Senior students for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.

 

Objectives/Goals of the Position:

  • Gain practical, bench-based drug discovery experience in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in drug development.
  • Understand the target engagement and selectivity profile of the potential drug candidate.
  • Maintain multiple cancer cell lines to support research activities.
  • Collect and analyze experimental results; Record experimental procedures and scientific findings in lab notebook.
  • Summarize and present frequent updates at departmental team meetings.
  • Perform differential expression and pathway analysis.
  • Create semi- or fully-automated pipeline to perform the analyses.
 
Position Requirements

 

  • Rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors working towards obtaining a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, mass spectrometry or related STEM field.

  • Knowledge of basic biology techniques is preferred, but not required.

  • Attention to experimental details and carefully adherence to established lab protocols.

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, Coding preferred, but not required.

  • Strong enthusiasm and work ethics; Excellent communication and organization skills.

  • Strong desire to pursue a scientific or healthcare related career in the future.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
