Location: Gaitherburg, MD

We are currently seeking a rising undergraduate, junior and senior students working towards a degree in Chemistry/Biology/Biochemistry/Bioengineering for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.

 

Objectives/Goals of the Position:

  • Develop Capillary Zone Electrophoresis Method to separate various co-forumulated mAbs, ADCs, and other protein products
  • Method should be able to determine the charge heterogeneinity of the individual components and determine their ratio within the sample.
  • Compare results to existing platform methods including iCE3 and Maurice.
  • Present results to approrate SME group and department wide meetings.
  • Indepenently perform analytical experiments and data analysis.
  • Develop methods for cIEF (ICE3/Maurice) and CZE (PA800).
  • Compare results amongst the different platforms and provide suggestions on method development for future co-formulated products.
  • Present findings to team and ask for feedback.
 
Position Requirements

 

  • Experience working in a BSL-1/2 laboratory
  • Experience using micropipettes, GxP documentation

  • Basic understanding of proteins and their structures

  • Basic understanding of chemistry and impact of buffer systems on protein charge separation.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
