Your role at MOBE

The Manager of Self-Management Program Operations (SMPO) will provide leadership and guidance to Guide and Lead Guides. The SMPO is responsible for the effective execution of the Self-Management Program in accordance with organizational and departmental policies/procedures in order to ensure optimal Participant interactions. The SMPO will work with SMPO Leadership to ensure that Guides are working effectively and efficiently, following program guidelines and protocols. This role will also work closely with the MOBE Outreach Engagement and Guide Support teams to ensure that the needs of our Participants are being met.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, innovation-driven individual having strong interpersonal skills, is detail-oriented and has experience in managing the operations of more than 10 employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides day to day leadership, guidance and development of Guides and Lead Guides

  • Identifies any issues or gaps in program execution in order to determine additional training needs

  • Partner with Performance Insight team and Workforce Management to monitor and evaluate employee productivity, performance, time and attendance

  • Use data and reports to assess Guide performance against departmental targets to identify any performance issues or training opportunities

  • Ensure projects, processes and initiatives are executed in the expected time frame

  • Actively participate in the interviewing, hiring and training of staff

  • Manage supporting operation processes ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance

  • Solve day to day operational issues directly or by leading internal teams to a solution

  • Identify and constructively communicate the need for improvements or enhancements in MOBE programs

  • Adjust workflow and responsibilities according to business and operational needs

  • Actively participate in the ongoing development of the department, i.e. policies and procedures, special projects, staff meetings and other departmental meetings/committees

  • Perform special projects as defined by Leader and other duties as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned to help fulfill our Mission, and abide by MOBE's Guiding Principles

 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5 – 7 years relevant experience (professional or clinical)

  • 2+ years’ experience in health care or a health care related field

  • Ability to convert data into information and use data to manage performance

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Able to work independently and with remote teams of staff

  • Excellent collaboration, drive for results and continuous improvement

  • Able to build and maintain personal rapport, demonstrating compassion and comfort with discussing sensitive topics

  • Organized, focused and ability to multitask, particularly with technology

  • Comfortable navigating change, ambiguity and remaining flexible

  • Competent with health and lifestyle change through empowering problem solving rather than providing solutions

  • Must have a desire to be a part of an organization looking to transform health culture

Preferred:

  • 3+ years experience in an management role

  • Experience working with internal and external customers to deliver outcomes in order to meet the Client’s performance expectations
