Location: Gaithersburg,MD

We are currently seeking master/PhD level students for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.

 

Objectives/Goals:

Provide graduate students exposure to working with oncology HEOR team and help them understand the role of HEOR in supporting Medical Affairs and other key cross-functional stakeholders such as Market Access, R&D etc

Primary Duties:

  • This position is in the Oncology Outcomes Research team in Evidence Generation and External Alliances organization within Global Medical Affairs. The individual will  be supporting HEOR team members in HEOR activities in the Oncology Therapeutic Area, taking the lead on some key short-term deliverables to support HEOR strategy.
  • The intern will provide support in conducting observational research studies (e.g. analysis of healthcare claims data and medical records, survey research) and in the development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models.
  • The intern will participate in meetings with cross-functional partners in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance, and Commercial related to HEOR strategy and evidence generation
  • The individual will be responsible for contributing to HEOR deliverables including protocols, analysis plans, literature reviews, data analysis, abstracts, posters, reports, and presentations.
 
Position Requirements
  • Graduate level Coursework in HEOR (Observational Research Design  Ecoomic Modeling, Survey Research, Statistics, Data analysis etc) experience with SAS
  • Understanding of US healthcare system
  • Basic understanding of large observational healthcare databases (healthcare claims, medical records)
  • Minimum GPA:3.0+
