Job Summary:

The Legal Intern is responsible for performing routine legal and administrative functions and assist the General Counsel with more complex matters.

Duties:

  • Assist in the administration and success of construction projects under the oversight of the General Counsel.
  • Draft legal documents, contracts, and notices and route for approval in accordance with internal workflows.
  • Provide general support related to litigation, subpoenas, mediation, arbitration, and other matters.
  • Identify, document, and effectively communicate legal matters affecting the business.
  • Monitor issues, and continually update leadership with timely analysis and summaries of legal matters.
  • Collect, compile, and maintain information and documentation from various in-house divisions.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of internal and external reports and filings.
  • Perform other similar or related duties which may not be specifically included within this position description, but which are consistent with the general level of the job and the responsibilities described.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current or former attendee of an ABA accredited law school.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, construction, and litigation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Eye for accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to excellence are critical.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and legal research.
  • Communicate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively in person and in writing.
  • A demonstrated ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity and discretion is critical.
  • Ability to work independently and be personally accountable for task and deadlines.
  • Be internally motivated to seek out issues, answers, generate ideas and discussion, and develop new skills and processes.
  • Analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and make recommendations on strategies and resolution of issues.
