JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Controller, the Manager, FP&A focuses on the financial planning & analysis process, leading the budget, quarterly forecasts, rolling monthly forecasts, and reporting to support the achievement of strategic initiatives across the organization.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the FP&A team to provide comprehensive financial analysis and management reporting to evaluate operating performance compared to budget/forecast and influence profitable growth in support of strategic goals and initiatives
  • Responsible for the development of robust operating and financial plans (annual budget, quarterly forecasts, rolling monthly forecasts) that align with strategic plans
  • Collaborate and partner with product groups, Operations, and other functions outside of Finance to advise on decisions to improve performance, minimize risk, and/or capture new opportunities, and to continuously improve operational reporting and analysis
  • Prepare materials, analyses, and presentations for management to deliver a comprehensive story, including bridges and variance analysis between budgets/forecasts and actual performance
  • Analyze and monitor current and past trends in key performance indicators including operational and financial metrics
  • Manage fixed assets and reporting of capital expenditures
  • Participate in and support the period-end financial close (monthly/quarterly/annually)
  • Support the Business Development group with product cost buildups to substantiate customer proposal pricing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, particularly in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and planning
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience strongly preferred; aerospace industry a plus

Skills:

  • Experience and interest in managing an end-to-end process, which involves multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business performance and financial results; understanding and ability to articulate how the business operates
  • Ability to explain financial results/information to non-financial groups and individuals
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills, critical thinker, and an innate curiosity to find actionable insights in a timely manner
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements and how they interact
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and best practices for analyzing costs, trends, and key performance indicators
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and the ability to work in an unstructured environment, manage longer-term projects, and proactively identify solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with capability to start and maintain new relationships across many facets of the business
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and math skills

  • Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible

Base salary range is $102,687 - $154,031 per year. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
