**This is NOT a remote position; the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite at our Melbourne, FL Location

Extant Aerospace is currently recruiting for a Contract Administrator. This critical member of the team will provide contract administration for groups of projects spread among internal and external team members including guidance on what issues may present a compliance liability to end user contracts. Serves as an on-going liaison between program managers and end-users regarding government and/or commercial industry proposals and contracts, including but not limited to adherence to the FAR and FAR Supplements, general aviation regulations, including applicable policies, procedures, rules and best practices for Extant Aerospace products and business relationships. Responsible for recording and maintaining contract information in Extant Aerospace systems. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or partners.
  • Works with sales and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contracts.
  • Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements.
  • Administer large, long term contracts with an understanding in advanced contract skills including, but not limited to, FAR, DFARS, CDRLS, flow-downs, funding, terminations, remedies, disputes, and claims. 
  • Advises internal customers of contractual obligations and compiles and maintains accurate records and data. 
  • Understanding and experience in Export compliance. 
  • Review and negotiate Customer Terms and Conditions.
  • Participate in all phases of the Acquisition process from negotiation to contract award, management and closeout.

  • Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Coordinate proposal submissions for government and industry aviation contracts, including: provide guidance to program managers, project scope creation and review, and compliance review.
  • Provide interpretation and recommendations regarding agency regulation.
  • Maintain contract files, sub-contracts, contract modifications, consulting agreements, and record retention of contract documents.
  • Coordinate other activities, special reports, projects, and other related duties as assigned. Generate reports as requested, and raise potential concerns involving contract management, administration, compliance issues and other key issues regarding contract administration and compliance.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with Government and Commercial Aerospace contracts preferred

Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft products.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
