Education

A B.S. or B.A. or equivalent in Business or a related field normally required.

Experience

A minimum of one (1) years' experience in mortgage operations or mortgage lending related positions preferred. Banking or finance related experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent reading, writing, grammar, mathematics and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A basic knowledge of loan operations activities and tasks, including the legal and regulatory aspects of lending that impact operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of bank lending policies and procedures preferred.
  • Proficient PC and loan software skills.
  • Visual and auditory skills.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for performing a variety of duties required to lock, sell, and reconcile residential mortgage loans. Will regularly interact with internal and external business partners, vendors, and departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Provide the following secondary market services:
  1. Performs a variety of duties to accurately price, deliver and reconcile residential mortgage loans
  2. Maintain daily pricing model
  3. Enhance current processes to take advantage of market opportunities
  4. Create and maintain accurate reporting with regard to commitments
  5. Special projects related to pricing and/or the mortgage business lin
  6. Provide sales support to bank mortgage lending officers
  1. Provide back-up for other related Finance activities
  1. Provide timely reporting to the Director of Secondary Markets and other appropriate groups or individuals.
  1. Coordinates departmental tasks with coworkers inside and outside the department in order to ensure an efficient process and the completion of essential tasks needing proper segregation of duties.
  1. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; complies information as necessary or as directed and provides date to appropriate bank personnel.
  1. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within give time frames and within established policy.
  1. Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
  1. Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, overall safety and soundness, and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

Ancillary Duties

  1. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual or departmental circumstances.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than two-thirds of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to accomplish tasks.
  • Frequently communicates with others to exchange information.
  • Occasionally repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
