Description
  • Gather and analyze electronic data exchange requirements from internal customers and external trading partners which includes, standard internet protocols (FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, HTTP/S, AS2, AS4, Web Services), encryption methods, port assignments, file routing parameters, etc. This will provide optimal secure configuration solutions to meet Business need while minimizing the risks of unauthorized access, theft, or manipulation of data.
  • Design, configure, test and implement production secure data transmissions to reduce security risk, adhere to regulatory compliance and maintain and protect the privacy of clients’ and employees’ sensitive data.
  • Maintain, support and troubleshoot existing custom business processes utilizing Business Process Modeling Language (BMPL) to provide automation, integration and visibility for the secure transmission of data between external and internal Trading Partners.
  • Work with vendor technical team to troubleshoot application issues, defects and enhancements to keep production environments functioning at peak performance and maximum availability.
  • Identify, implement, test and support vendor supplied application version upgrades, security patches and vulnerability fixes to application systems to ensure functionality and security are up-to-date.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all production system and transmission errors through incident analysis, problem recreation and root cause analysis, based on business severity and deadlines to avoid financial penalties, late fees and client impact.
  • Participate on uncomplicated projects for secure electronic data exchange design to ensure the project meets security requirements.
  • Work with all available resources (including but not limited to: Development, IT Operations, Security and Business Units) to make strategic adjustments to the enterprise managed file transfer posture to maintain service operability.
  • Provide 24/7 3rd level support of system file transfer issues to ensure that all business critical files are transmitted timely.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Security/Science or related discipline,

CISSP or SANS GIAC certifications is preferred.

Experience with IBM Suite of Business to Business(B2B) / Managed File Transfer (MFT) products;IBM Sterling Integrator, IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Sterling,Connect:Direct, IBM Control Center and Aspera.

Experience with Communication Protocols: FTP,FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, HTTP/S, AS2, Web Services,etc.

Experience with product implementation,including architecture and infrastructure selection and sizing for the environment, installation and configuration, working with external business partners to set up new transmissions.

1 year of experience in implementing Web Services (SOAP/REST)

2 years of experience in Relevant Business to Business (B2B) / Managed File Transfer (MFT) work experience

4 years of experience in Relevant IT work experience

Knowledge of Network and Payload Encryption Methods (SSL, SMIME, PGP ).
Familiarity with business process workflows utilizing Business Process Modeling Language (BPML) and Java / J2EE based extensions.

Knowledge of EDI transactions, XML, Xpath, BPML,XSLT, XML Schemas and namespaces
Knowledge of Operating Systems, Unix, Linux, and Windows Understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL databases.

Basic networking skills including an understanding of network routing and protocols, ability to use basic network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.

General knowledge of installing and upgrading application versions within a clustered environment.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash and Perl. Exhibits a high level of integrity
while focusing on exceptional client service and best practices.

Must be able to communicate and work effectively with contractors, customers, software
vendors, and internal lines of business and IT teams.

Must be able to convey both technical and nontechnical concepts to a wide audience.
Must also have a strong sense of urgency and customer service focus.

Detail orientated to ensure accurate translation of customer requirements into technical functionality.

Strongly innovative and able to identify and implement ideas for making improvements within
existing processes.

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities .

Ability to work independently or as a member of a team Negotiation skills
