Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Provide service that meets the Service Standards defined by Tropical Financial Credit Union and achieve annual goals that are established through the Performance Management Process. Act as the subject matter expert for network security related environments to deliver security functions and enhancements Collaborate with the network services team to design, implement, and monitor secure network infrastructure and controls Monitor current enterprise security tools to identify and coordinate response to emerging incidents. Plans, designs, documents, implements, and administrates security controls which safeguard access to information technology services while minimizing the impact to users Support in the identification, documentation, and development of computer and network security controls Daily operations of enterprise controls, vulnerability scanning tools and supporting infrastructure. Perform, analyze, and assist in the remediation of issues discovered in company's vulnerability scans and penetration tests Assist in the determination of appropriate risk assessment tools (NIST/FFIEC/NCUA/PCI/CIS) to review company's key application and critical infrastructure. Assist in annual information security risk assessments on all critical and confidential IT systems and participate in the remediation of issues discovered in those assessments. Document this process and develop a calendar for reoccurrence Operate as an SME for network and security controls Stays abreast of the latest security trends, privacy laws, regulations, threats, and vulnerabilities. IT networking experience including the deployment and maintenance of critical security infrastructure such as Firewalls, DLP, IPS/IDS, CA’s, and SIEM technologies. Experience performing vulnerability and IT risk assessments. Desired Information Security related certifications, CISSP, GIAC, CEH, Security+ Desired IT related certifications, MCSA, CCNA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred, will consider work experience and certifications in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree. Ability to meet deadlines in an organized and timely fashion. Ability to handle challenging situations under pressure with professionalism and courtesy. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Strong verbal and written communications skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
