Job Summary

The Licensed Journeyman Electrician is the company's representative at a construction site. This position directs, coordinates, and helps to complete tasks as a working partner to the Fixture Installation team throughout the installation process. Responsibilities include, removal of existing fixtures, disconnect and reconnect of power service within millwork fixtures or gondolas, installation of new millwork or gondola fixtures per plan, while coordinating and managing the scope of work required at the job site. Other duties as may be assigned.

  • Education Level: Licensed Journeyman Electrician (in applicable state).
  • Experience Level: Carpentry experience preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills are imperative.
  • Ability to problem solve, with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Dependable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Consistently conduct self in professional, safe, and courteous manner conducive to open retail, restaurant, and hospitality environment in front of client and client's customers.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must submit to Davaco's post-employment drug testing program.
  • Must be willing to work away from home and travel extensively.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • May be called upon to run small power tools and motorized construction equipment (lift, forklift, etc.).
  • Must have and maintain valid driver's license and meet driving insurance requirements for driving record.

Essential Functions

  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively (both written and verbal) with teammates to ensure timely completion of duties.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Punctual and regular attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Frequently lift and/or move any object up to 50 lbs.
  • Meet qualifications to obtain a rental car.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.

Communication

  • Effectively and professionally communicate with all levels of the organization, as well as field and office personnel, subcontractors, outsource partners and client representatives.
  • Review program or project issues and opportunities with supervisor.
  • Manage and communicate client concerns, problems, or complaints on assigned programs or projects.

Planning and Organizing

  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
  • The ability to prioritize work, maintain a positive attitude and composure in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to plan, execute and close out multiple projects or tasks in short periods of time to the satisfaction of the supervisor and/or client.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and meets challenges with resourcefulness.

  • Build lasting relationships with all team members and clients by acting with the highest level of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Develop trust and confidence through support, open and frequent communication, and understanding of all team members and client expectations.

  • Works collaboratively and effectively with supervisors and program or project participants as appropriate.
  • Communicates about program or project progress and any necessary modifications and adjustments.

Cost-Control

  • Develops a cost-effective plan for short-term program or project execution following logical patterns to meet completion dates.
  • Attentive to material purchases to keep budget on track.

Leadership/Supervision

  • Understand, follow, and promote jobsite policies and procedures.
  • Delegate work appropriately. Keep team members accountable for their work.
  • Assist and empower team members to make decisions in a timely manner.

Quality Control

  • Follow performance expectations and inspect work being performed to ensure quality is being achieved.

Technology and Reporting

  • Ensure all client portal information, job reports, and documents are submitted correctly and on time.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Computers, Smart Phone, etc. and ability to use similar or equivalent technology, such as DAVACO technology, as it pertains to collecting and communicating data.

Safety

  • Ensure a safe environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
  • Properly follow all company policies. Report any problems or issues to supervisor.
  • Report any hazards, incidents, or accidents to supervisor.
  • Do not participate in horseplay.
  • Do not carry more than capable of and ask for assistance with lifting or carrying when needed.
  • Wear PPE as appropriate.
  • Be an attentive and safe driver.
  • Ensure jobsite is clean, safe, and secure.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
