LAN/WAN Administrator responsible for maintaining the LAN/WAN for NIGC. Responsible for assisting with development and executing testing processes used to validate disaster recovery plans for the prompt restoration of services. Required to plan and implement network security, set up firewalls, manage host security, apply cryptography to network applications, and regulate file permissions. Will investigate, recommend, and install enhancements and operating procedures that regulate network availability. Will support operating capability of networks, both wireless and wired. Required to respond to unplanned events that adversely affect the network or computing environment. Will configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN related hardware and software. Be required to test, evaluate, and recommend selections of standard LAN/WAN components. Be required to design, analyze, and implement LAN/WAN equipment and design cost effective system configurations. Will maintain and optimize the health and efficiency of end-user systems.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred but not required or equivalent
