Description

Integration Developer

Research, design, and develop third party API based integrations to meet business unit and client needs. Partner with product managers and development teams, ensuring that a quality product is provided by the department in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Develops, maintains, and supports SOAP and REST API integrations within an iPaaS solution.
  • Troubleshoots and solutions reported issues with existing integrations and recommends preventative controls to mitigate risk of recurrence.
  • Investigates available technology to determine practicality of new technological solutions.
  • Evaluates business unit requests, suggests high level solutions, and prepares development estimates.
  • Identifies changes, errors, and architecture issues with internal and external partner systems, and advises on internal solution paths.
  • Maintains compliance with internal standards promoting the appropriate use of Paychex systems and data and protecting client and Paychex information.
  • Manage data analysis and data integration of disparate systems.
  • Consults with business unit partners concerning system design and performance, clarifies details with business partners and makes system adjustments to ensure integration design meets the intended needs of the stakeholders.
  • Promotes and maintains effective relationships with various Paychex business units and vendors to advance Paychex business objectives by developing and maintaining strong relationships within the company.
  • Communicates important or sensitive issues determined by the direct or indirect impact on business units and/or clients quickly and effectively to appropriate audience to ensure that measures are taken immediately to resolve the issue.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree – Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in Code development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Ruby
  • Knowledge of Web Services – SOAP, REST, JSON
  • Experience using Web APIs with tools such as Postman
  • Experience using DevOps tools – e.g. Bitbucket, Git, Jira, Confluence
  • Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes
