The position performs one or a combination of typical duties required to work with electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment.   Position Requirements BASIC REQUIREMENTS: One (1) years' experience working with electrical, electronic, or mechanical equipment. Some practical knowledge of science and engineering is required. Some positions may require a practical knowledge of mathematics or computer science. Included are workers who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery or equipment. Good working knowledge of electical, electronics, and mechanical operating principles; mathematics and number systems. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Must be a U.S. Citizen, be able to acquire and maintain any and all necessary security clearances and be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting; Performs simple or routine tasks or test such as tensile or hardness tests and records test data; Operates and adjusts simple test equipment; Gathers and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified forumulas; plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs; Provides semiprofessional technical support for engineers working in such areas as research, design, testing, or manufacturing process improvement. Non-Essential Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasionally requires climbing Often requires stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, seeing Lifting/Moving Requirements: The ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required.
