About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.



 
Description

The Vice President of Strategy and Innovation as an Executive Committee member responsible for strategic leadership, direction, and planning of The Minnesota Autism Center operations. This individual will develop and implement strategic operational strategies that align MAC operations and new business growth while improving existing operational effectiveness. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight regarding the quality of services, fiscal management, and compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements as it relates to the organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

LEADERHSIP & MANAGEMENT:

  • Develop and implement strategic operational strategies that provide for long term growth and profitability
  • Identify, develop, and implement long range operational strategies to evaluate and upgrade capabilities at our various centers.
  • Provide strategies that will drive operational excellence delivering timely.
  • Provide strategic vision, leadership and strategies for a service organization that drive increased service profitability while increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that the region is in full compliance with governmental rules and regulations and organization policies.
  • Participate in on-going educational programs in the profession to maintain professional status and remain current on trends in the mental health field

PLANNING & NEW BUSINESS:

  • Create strategic partnerships with organizations that hold a similar focus in the Mental Health industry
  • Implement the strategic business planning process for program expansion into new markets
  • Develop and implement strategic operational strategies that provide for long term growth and profitability
  • Begin to build partnerships in new markets, establishing relationships with the funders, and political and community leaders at each expansion site

Position Requirements

All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:

  • Advanced degree preferable. Experience in operational management, legal processes, corporate and nonprofit development and operations
  • Demonstrated experience effectively leading and developing employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated skill in the areas of delegation, developing direct reports, process management, business acumen, problem solving, managing multiple projects, making timely, high-quality decisions, and hiring subordinate leaders.
  • Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  • Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
