The value of the education award is $6,895. The award can be used to pay for future educational training and related expenses or to repay existing eligible federal student loans. The cash stipend is $1,800. AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) (www.americorps.gov/vista) is an anti-poverty program that provides full-time service members to nonprofit organizations that serve low-income communities. Pay Rate $17,600 annual Living Allowance. Responsibilities: Collect input from the Native American community so Thanksgiving Point can design STEM program content that is tailored to their culture and their needs and respectful of indigenous knowledge. Research, identify, and develop partnerships with community organizations serving marginalized populations. Closely collaborate with those community organizations to design programs that meet their educational and cultural objectives. Write lesson and activity plans for community science projects, and train Learning and Engagement team members to deliver those programs. Promote community science projects and track community engagement.   Requirements: Strong communication, with collaborative approach to the workplace, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback Ability to work patiently in high-activity, high-energy, noisy environments Experience with building relationships with community groups preferred Valid Driver’s License preferred Must be 18 years of age Must pass a background check   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
