GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assists in managing the daily operations of the IIMC office, and supervises, directs, plans and coordinates the clinical and support staff.

  1. Manages and provides leadership and direction for the daily operations of the IIMC offices. Maintains an efficient work schedule for staff.Ensures daily workflow, addressing any problems that arise during the day and making decisions that affect the daily operations of the practice.
  2. Directs daily work activities to assure appropriate staff coverage to include coordination of staff schedules, scheduling of PTO, training and development of staff, and tracking of staff attendance records.
  3. Interviews, hires and develops clinic and support staff. Maintains an efficient training and work schedule.
  4. Participates in the employee Performance Review process and recommends merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions. Provides necessary counseling/coaching sessions and participates in the recruitment process.
  5. Acts as liaison between physicians, staff, and patients.
  6. Monitors the scheduled appointments and patient flow.
  7. Ensures that patients are treated in a prompt and courteous manner by staff. Sees that visitors are screened and properly directed.
  8. Implements organizational policies and procedures.
  9. Directs the completion of disability forms, insurance related forms, assessing and completion of records duplication for outside sources (i.e., other physicians, hospitals, insurance companies, attorneys, etc.) ensuring that requests for information are handled properly, effectively and in a timely manner.
  10. Develop and implement short and long-term work plans and objectives for clinical and support staff.
  11. Conducts monthly staff meetings.
  12. Coordinates equipment maintenance for office and medical equipment.
Position Requirements


  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  3. Six months previous clerical experience preferred.
  4. Clinical experience preferred
  5. Previous supervisory experience in a physician office or medical related position.


  1. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives.
  2. Knowledge of clinical office procedures.
  3. Skilled in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
  4. Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of medical practices and terminology.
  7. Excellent attention to detail.
  8. Ability to deal with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
  9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  10. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff and contacts outside the organization.
