Part-Time (Seasonal) Skate Counter Supervisor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position will work under the direct supervision of the Arena General Manager. Must be available to work 15-30 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as work schedule is based upon the 2022-2023 ice skating schedule. Schedule is subject to change (dates and times). This is a seasonal part-time non-exempt position running from late-November through February.


TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Responsible for supervising the volunteer group each session; including verify proper group is fully staffed and making necessary arrangements if group does not arrive.
2. Ensure volunteer group is trained on the proper procedures for giving out skates and seals and cleaning skates upon being returned
3. Ensure the skate counter area remains neat and organized
4. Maintain an inventory of clean towels and sanitizing spray and notify the Arena General Manager when inventory is running low
5. Maintain a clean and safe workspace in the Arena or Pavilion. To include proper lighting, temperature, signage, safe entrances/exits, music and spectator areas.
6. Responsible for maintaining an overall high level of safety of the ice rink and contacting the EMT and Manager on Duty in case of an emergency
7. Supervise the Skate Guard, or in their absence supervise safety of skaters
8. Coordinate with the Zamboni driver and Ticketing Office about sessions beginning and ending
9. Make periodic announcements for time remaining in session, seal availability and reversal of skate direction
10. Process any financial transactions and complete end of shift reconciliation
11. Handle customer inquiries and concerns in regards to skating, seal rental, on ice safety and general Classic Center inquiries.
12. All other duties as assigned
