Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC – one of Northern New England’s largest law firms – has an opportunity for the ideal candidate to join our team in the key position of IT Director in Burlington, Vermont. 

This strategic hire is part of the Firm’s succession planning strategy.  The IT Director’s primary responsibility is to oversee the IT operations and to ensure alignment with best practices and the business objectives of the Firm.  This individual’s principal goals are to maintain a high level of cybersecurity while planning, leading and executing the Firm’s strategies and policies.  Efficient and effective technology coupled with effective technical support services are key.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with at least five years of experiencing managing IT professionals and directing IT operations.  If you pride your ability to lead a team of IT professionals that provide a high level of service, this position is for you!  The IT Director is the key advisor on IT direction for the Firm.  A bachelors degree in the field of computer science or information systems and at least five years of law firm IT experience is required.

Position Requirements

• At least 5 years experience managing enterprise applications.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed reporting, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
• Experience with legal applications, especially Autonomy iManage, is a plus.
