We are seeking a Financial Analyst (Vendor Pay) to join our team working primarily remotely with occasional in person meetings in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will:

  • Support the Navy's development of improved business processes and associated enhancements to the Navy's Financial Management Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, a SAP-based product, for the Contract Vendor Pay (CVP) process.
  • Specific responsibilities include: 1) Developing requirements for Navy ERP for various components of the CVP process, 2) Supporting the Navy's participation in working groups with system developers and key end users and serving as a process subject matter expert, 3) Working with various stakeholders across the Department of Navy (i.e., Budget Submission Offices, Financial Management Operations [FMO], Defense Finance and Accounting Services [DFAS], OUSD[C], and Navy Research, Development, and Acquisition [RD&A]) to present Navy FM’s position on process improvements and achieve resolution on any obstacles, 4) Maintain project plans, risk/issues register, and other associated project management documents for various initiatives, and 5) Develop presentations for Navy FM leadership and key stakeholders for information and decision briefings.
  • Would also be helpful if the candidate has experience with Navy ERP system enhancements. Candidate should be able to work directly with the Navy FM (Financial Management) client or independently as needed.
  • This role may also require the candidate to represent the Navy FM government client in different forums that include stakeholders from Department of Navy, Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS), and RD&A; experience working with these organizations is not a requirement but would be advantageous. Procure to Pay/Contract Vendor Pay Process experience is also a plus.
  • Specific efforts in the near term include Debt Management/Collection, Accounts Receivable, Refund Receipts, Reimbursable transactions, and the associated Posting Logic.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or greater) from an accredited college/university in a field of study relevant to this professional role including Business, Public Policy, English, Communications, or Political Science.
  • 7-10 years’ experience supporting a Fortune 500 company or a government customer.
  • DoD and/or Navy Financial management experience required.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Desired Experience:

  • Federal Financial Management, Project Management, or Navy ERP
  • SAP FI Collections and Disbursements
  • SAP Financial Accounting Management
