- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands productively.
- Ability to safely work with saws, hand tools, and blueprints/parts drawings.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to work with routine standard procedures, but adjusting when requested.
- Positive attitude, good attendance and willingness to adjust schedule as requested.
- Willingness to cross-train and work in other functional areas of the shop as needed.
- Must have ability to operate a forklifts and overhead cranes. Prior training is preferred
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent plus some experience working with mechanical tools or equipment. Experience may include high school shop class.
Language Skills
Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills and Manufacturing Software skills are preferred, but not required.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
The employee may be required to drive on occasion and must have a valid driver's license and be covered under the company's insurance policy.
Work Environment

The employee works in a manufacturing assembly environment and is occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. He/she is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
