Share Email Opening Title Assistant Biologist   Location Clovis, CA   Category Environmental Consulting   Description LSA’s Clovis office is seeking to hire an Assistant Biologist to provide biological services primarily in the Central Coast and Central Valley regions of California. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of local experience related to biological resources assessments, biological construction monitoring, special-status species surveys, vegetation mapping, jurisdictional waters delineations, resource agency permitting, and habitat restoration. The salary range for this position is $49,000 to $78,000 per year. The compensation offer will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.   Position Requirements The position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, ecology, natural resources, or a related field. Emphasis will be placed on previous technical experience, familiarity with the flora and fauna of the Central Coast and Central Valley regions, quality of work, demonstrated technical writing capability, and the ability to manage project budgets and schedules. A strong work ethic, excellent writing and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are vital. This position requires the candidate to be capable of strenuous fieldwork under adverse weather conditions. Use of a personal vehicle is required (with mileage reimbursement).
