Soaren Management is adding a IT Support Technician to our Fintech start-up that is stable, profitable, and rapidly growing. Responsible for providing network and IT infrastructure support, physical layer troubleshooting, desktop support as it relates to desktops, switches, routers, and other network communication equipment. Performing first and second level problem diagnosis through to resolution including communicating, tracking, reconciling, and documenting the tickets accurately within designated guidelines (SLAs).

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

  • Escalate and manage tickets to assure timely resolution

  • Ability to meet service level agreement requirements during the ticket life cycle

  • Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure

  • Support inventory management activities

  • Utilizing a Service Desk ticketing system to document work, progress, and resolutions

  • Ensuring ticket work notes are continuously updated while being worked

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Requires reliable transportation and active driver’s license

  • Must be proficient in utilizing technical tools such as cable testers

  • Experience in working in end user environments, server rooms and communications closets

  • Must have a good understanding of M.S. Windows, and M.S. Office Suite applications

  • Must understand cable patching processes and procedures

  • Must be able to assist in troubleshooting issues and understand network terminology

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years of experience in IT or helpdesk support

  • Experience in Windows and Mac OS environments

  • Strong verbal skills proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of IT experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or IT related field

  • Strong troubleshooting skills of very complex systems

  • Familiarity with call center operations including work queues and dialing strategies

  • Knowledge of a project management and ticketing systems such as Jira

  • Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
