The Brownells/2nd Adventure Group (2AG) Vice President of Technology will lead all aspects of technology services and oversee the planning and execution of an IT roadmap supporting 2AGs aggressive growth plans. The VP of Technology will report directly to the COO and will serve as an integral part of the companys executive leadership team.

What You Will Do

Main Duties / Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee our core Business Systems, Ecommerce and Marketing Systems, Data and Analytics Platforms, Enterprise Architecture, IT Infrastructure & Security, Vendor Management, and IT Governance
  • Define and maintain the overall technology roadmap
  • Build and develop a Technology Services team that will work collaboratively with 2AG business leaders to support and enable their goals and objectives
  • Provide proactive, strategic, and collaborative leadership forging strong working relationships with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment
  • Balance long-term vision with the ability to move and react quickly to current business trends

What You Will Need

Education / Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years in an IT leadership role, preferably in a high-growth consumer products environment
  • Experience in recruiting and building a high-performing IT team, ensuring global technology resources are aligned to drive success of the business
  • Experience with merger and/or acquisition planning and integration

Leadership / Knowledge / Skills

  • Strategic thinker, who can see beyond what is and imagine what could or should be
  • Proven ability as a business transformation leader, driving ERP or similar technology platform implementations
  • Excellent business acumen combined with creative problem solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of fundamental business processes of a wholesale distributor and multi-channel retailer
  • Proven ability to negotiate with vendors, contractors, and other service providers
  • Proven ability to establish IT Governance best practices
  • Operates with a high sense of urgency and able to adapt quickly to evolving leadership requirements
  • Decisive; not afraid to make difficult decisions
  • Holds others accountable and takes responsibility for ones own actions
  • Results-driven, disciplined and hard-working, with a focus on setting and meeting deadlines and budgets
  • High level of maturity and emotional intelligence; able to inspire others to action through influence and actions

Physical Demands

Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
