Share Email Opening Title Business Process Re-Engineering Air Refueling Specialist   Category Engineering   Description The Business Process Re-Engineering Air Refueling Specialist will be responsible for optimizing tanker utilization and receiver requirements for air refueling training in a global environment. Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Serve as command headquarters level air refueling liaison operations specialist by applying Air Force US military aviation experience and regulations to manage and validate training requirements for the KC-135, KC-10, and KC-46 tanker and air refuellable receiver airframes primarily CONUS wide. Analyze data from the air refueling community to display scheduling efficiencies for senior leadership. Research patterns and trends concerning air refueling training to develop new methods and procedures. Prepare, schedule, and deliver briefings on optimized air refueling initiatives and provide information requested by units, AMC staff, and higher headquarters as needed. Maintain contact with tanker and receiver units that require air refueling for training to ensure maximum unit readiness. Assist with proposal development, if necessary. Perform other duties, as assigned.   Position Requirements Experience: Specialized experience must include comprehensive knowledge in a wide range of air refueling policies, principles and regulations involved in the movement of tanker assets. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Process Management/Re-engineering, or other related degree or experience desired. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Lean Six Sigma Certification desired. Other Required Skills & Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. Must be able to apply knowledge of tanker and receiver scheduling, limitations, and analysis to make recommendations to various commands to enhance tanker utilization. Use knowledge of tanker aircraft capabilities and limitations to include range, fuel requirements, configuration, takeoff weight restrictions, and offload capabilities is a must to ensure proper mission accomplishment. Must possess knowledge of: Aircraft performance capabilities and limitations. Air refueling directives, plans, regulations, techniques, systems, and processes. Various computer programs that pertain to air refueling operations and scheduling to include execution management. Aircrew flying limitations and crew rest requirements. Data analyses/estimates to manage the program and resolve discrepancies as they arise. Factors that impact aircrew training, resources, inventory, and management (technology trends, contract policy, aircrew training requirements, aircraft modernization/modification limitations). Skilled in scheduling air refueling operations and detailed analyses of complex air refueling operations and processes. Skilled to conduct projects and studies.
