Procurement Coordinator 

Description

PURPOSE

This position is responsible for the efficient purchase and sourcing functions of Procurement Department.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accurate processing of invoices; including but not limited to reconciling vendor invoices for accuracy, input of proper invoices to synergize and properly coding in synergize for approval.

  • Book travel in a cost efficient manner while meeting traveler’s expectations.

  • Book rental cars for driver’s, assisting operations in finding the most efficient route and cost.

  • Input accurate Parts Catalog records, parts listing, vendor information and pricing.

  • Set-up and training of new employees within Concur.

  • Set-up of new employees in Fresh Market Vending program.

  • Maximize billing accuracy and minimize any overdue invoices of parts suppliers.

  • Aid as support team with workflow of all areas of Procurement to include License & Permits, Asset Management, People Net, Work Mobile Com email, Facility Maintenance and Mailroom responsibilities.

  • Monitor and practice efficient purchasing methods.

  • Maintain a high level of customer support for USA Truck, Inc. terminal team members.

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity when managing vendor relationships.

  • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.

  • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.

  • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.

 
Position Requirements

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

     

    SUPERVISES OTHERS.

This position is not responsible for supervising others.

 

Working conditions.

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time,

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines,

  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs,

  • Constantly positions self in work environment,

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors and drivers to exchange accurate information and answer questions,

  • Must be able to detect objects at a distance,

  • On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects,

  • Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in adjacent buildings requiring travel in outdoor weather conditions.
