Under supervision this position performs all aspects of materials management and inventory control including but not limited to job creation, shipping schedules, logistics, receiving, organizing, and maintaining all materials and records for production. Telecommuting Opportunity: 0% Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Materials Specialist I will: Materials Unload trucks, receive, store and issue material to assigned locations. Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list. Enter inventory related data ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy. Kitting (picking parts for jobs to deliver to production floor). Assist with tracking and planning inventory levels, identify backorders and expediting necessary materials/supplies. Performs cycle counts and full physical inventory counts. Maintain and organize shipping supplies. Prepare outgoing deliveries including packaging, pack slip generation, needed documentation, labeling and delivery. Maintain receiving, inventory, shipping, and other areas of the shop; recycle packaging materials, break down delivery boxes and dispose of waste. Move materials to or from storage and work areas to designated are, using hand truck, pallet jack, forklift or other equipment. General Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance. Follow Zepher safety procedures, including the use of personal protective gear such as eye and ear protection, and gloves. Understand, follow, and contribute to the improvement of relevant Zepher procedures and work instructions. Maintain 5S standards within inventory and receiving areas. Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety while upholding company and OSHA safety standards. Other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 1 – 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment. Competent organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and inventory management software. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (ability to drive with a trailer and pass a Commercial Driver Fitness Determination preferred). Physical activities can include standing, repetitive motion, walking, lifting, pushing or carrying heavy objects. Compensation and Benefits: Salary Range:  $40,560 - $ 52,870 Coverage begins 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. Zepher pays 75% of the monthly medical premiums for employees and their qualified dependents.
