Position Summary:


Specialty Systems, Inc has an opening for a Contracts Administrator who will be responsible for maintaining the organizations contractual relationships with Primes, Subcontractors and the government. The Contracts Administrator processes contractual modifications in JAMIS and prepares subcontractor mods. Tracks program funds for Primes, PMs and the government. Responds to inquiries regarding funding status, contract obligations, estimates to complete and contract modifications. Prepares status reports and contract deliverables due monthly to include gathering subcontractor reports and deliverables. Assists in proposal preparation and the submission of prime and subcontractor proposal data calls. Works with Accounting to resolve Prime and Subcontractor invoicing issues.

Position will initially be remote, but will transition to a hybrid schedule in the DC area.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews contract awards and modifications for accuracy and routes for signature
  • Interfaces regularly and maintains positive working relationships with external customers, Primes and subcontractors
  • Enters contract awards and modifications in JAMIS and routes for approval
  • Creates and updates billing trackers for new contracts and contract modifications
  • Reviews, finalizes and submits monthly status reports
  • Works with subcontractors regarding funding needs and ensures subcontract deliverables are received on time and complete
  • Drafts subcontract agreement and task order modifications and routes for signature
  • Tracks Government Furnished Property and Contractor Acquired Property
  • Provides funding status and contract obligation updates, as well as estimates to complete to both management and Primes or government customers
  • Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance
  • Maintains and regularly audits subcontractor files for completeness and accuracy
  • Performs contract and subcontract close-outs
  • Comples annual representations and certifications
  • Coordinates with Accounting to resolve invoice isssues
  • Assists with DCAA and public accounting audits/questions related to contracts, modificaitons, and program costs
  • Creates Ad-Hoc reports for management and the government
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reports to the Contracts Manager

Position Requirements

Education/Certification Requirement:

  • BS/BA in Business, Accounting or related field

 

Minimum Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of government contracting experience to include demonstrated knowledge and application of contracting principles, proven ability to review and interpret FAR and DFARS regulations and experience administering T&M, CPFF and FFP contracts
  • Experience in the preparation and set up of contractual agreements (i.e., NDAs, teaming agreement and subcontractor agreements)
  • Prior experience using JAMIS preferred; Deltek or other government contracting software experience required
  • Experience providing contractual proposal support
  • Government property management experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Word and Excel
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
 
Salary Range This position has a salary range of between $85,000 and $110,000, based on the candidate's match to the skill and experience levels required.  
Travel Requirements Occasional travel may be required.
