Revenue & Reservations Manager 

Description

Responsible for supervising, training and overseeing the Reservations Department. Maintain all The Kahala Hotel & Resort policies, service standards and other reservation criteria/standards. Updates TRUST system (Central Reservation System ~ CRS), Opera System (Property Operating System ~ POS) and other reservation systems. Work closely with Front Office, Sales and travel agents. Creates daily booking pace reports. Assists the Assistant Director of Revenue Management & Commercial Director in yield management programs.

 
Position Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures that all guests are “delighted and satisfied” with their accommodations. Ensures that efficient, accurate and professional service is being provided by the reservation agents and other criteria are met consistently (LQA standards)

  • Assists Reservations agents to sell right and close sales

  • Responsible for all training in reservations and support departments in all reservation tasks.

  • Works closely with travel agents, Front Office and Sales & Catering, including all guests, groups and corporate accounts.

  • Manages Group Reservations directly with Group coordinators

  • Reviews call results & compliance (NAVIS system), booking pace, daily arrivals, late cancellations, no shows and other miscellaneous reports.

  • Managing channels, contents and building rates & controls stay through in PMS, CRS, Channel Manager and other reservation systems.

  • Assists Assistant Director of Revenue Management & Commercial Director in analyzing data and prepares reports

  • Attends meetings, contributes and presents.

  • Covers Assistant Director of Revenue Management’s role on her / his absence

  • Administrative tasks, invoices, contracts, manuals, schedules and hotel community service.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Security Department.

  • Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.

  • Respond to all guest questions. Provide guest assistance, direction and information as requested when working in public areas.

Education/Training Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required.

  • College degree in hospitality management or similar field preferred.

Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) year supervisory or management experience.

  • Experience in a first-class, medium to large resort preferred.
