Share Email Opening Title Environmental Health & Safety Officer (Denver, CO)  Description POSITION SUMMARY: Develop the components of a strong Safety Program for RoadSafe’s operations on a Regional scale. Support the District Vice President and Branch Managers in communicating with employees to build a strong safety culture. Work with the Branch Managers and the local Safety Coordinators to reduce significantly injuries (both to our workers and others) and property damage. Build and implement comprehensive Health and Safety related plans to reduce injuries and accidents.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop and implement comprehensive safety program covering training, compliance, awareness, administration and reporting. Administer claims. Travel to branches to insure compliance. Conduct facility and job sight audits Work closely with insurance carriers and brokers to identify opportunities, design and implement solutions for improved safety results. Review and assist branches with OSHA 300 logs. Assure all personnel are trained and communicated with regarding safety specific process changes. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Coordinate activities of Safety Coordinators in assigned branches. 2. Manage Driver Alert Programs for assigned branches 3. Oversee USDOT compliance program for assigned branches.   Position Requirements REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of EHS programs preferably in heavy highway construction Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, USDOT compliance and Traffic Control CSP, CSHO and ATSSA certifications preferred Strong written and verbal communications skills. Computer skills in Excel and Word required.
