Description

A Human Resources (HR) Generalist is a professional who oversees the human resources responsibilities and activities of an organization. They manage processes, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and training and development. 

 
Position Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Manages the recruiting process to include job postings, reviewing resumes, performing telephone interviews, reference checks, offers of employment and rescinded offers  
  • Creates promotional material to aid in recruiting efforts 
  • Creates and modifies social media platforms to increase applicant flow and branding of operating company  
  • Acts as the lead administrator for all Peak companies and is responsible for maintaining processes and procedures for applicant tracking system updates and reporting, management requisition, aging reports, and coordinating to develop viable candidate pools to meet business needs 
  • Trains others in the usage of the applicant tracking system  
  • Develops and establishes relationships with external partners to further the operating company’s applicant pool 
  • Attends conferences and makes recommendations to leadership about the operating company’s brand 
  • Assists employees, supervisors, and department heads to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation  
  • Advises on employee relations issues to include employee concerns, performance management, discipline and termination. Escalates matter when appropriate 
  • Promotes partnerships with all employees and the leadership team to foster a positive work experience to all employees  
  • Administers all employee records systems to include compensation, performance management, DOT compliance, CDL regulation, issued equipment and assets and other employee records to include personnel files  
  • Administers and coordinates benefits and leaves of absences policies and practices. Answers employee questions and inquiries when needed  
  • Contributes to monthly reporting and company audits  
  • Conducts exit interviews with staff to determine if corrective action may retain valued staff. Communicates inconsistencies to leadership  
  • Serves as backup to HR Business Partner and the HR team in absences  
  • Coordinates and assists with special events for staff by coordinating committees and schedules

Experience and Education: 

  • Specific human resource experience, comprised of a minimum of one (1) year employee relations and one (1) year benefit experience, to be four (4) years of overall experience in HR.  
  • Ability to become HR certified within 2 years. 
  • Preferred but not required Bi-lingual Spanish.  
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis 

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications: 

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment. 
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)?background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
