POSITION SUMMARY:
The entry level Human Resources Assistant (HRA) will work under the direction of Administration. The HRA will help facilitate the recruitment and interview process while also ensuring a smooth on-boarding for all new employees. The HRA will assist with benefit administration, record keeping and provide overall day-to-day clerical functions for the HR/Administration department. The incumbent will be responsible for processing all student activities with contracted educational facilities.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Assists with job posting & recruitment efforts to include phone screening and interview scheduling
  • Conducts all new hire on-boarding, orientations, and trainings
  • Maintain updated organizational Charts.
  • Maintain electronic personnel and medical files to include scanning and filing on a regular basis
  • Maintain manger electronic personnel files (HRO)
  • Maintains up-to-date information/binders/spread sheets/reports
  • Assists with benefit enrollment, changes, and terminations
  • Maintains all E-verify, exclusion screening and other compliance logs and documents
  • Processes all team member clerical changes (tax forms, address changes, direct deposit changes, etc).
  • Processes all student activities to included orientation, building collaboration schedules, etc.
  • Assists with marketing efforts and social media posts
  • Assists with preparing, ordering and planning for employee recognition efforts.
  • Provide various administrative and clerical day-to-day functions to support to HR and Administration.
  • Other projects, tasks and responsibilities may be added and the discretion of leadership.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Develop and create various reports
  • Ability to maintain confidently at all times is a must
  • Must be able to commute to local offices as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Higher education helpful.
  • One to Three years’ HR experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer typing skills
