GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Loan Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing the daily activities related to servicing the Cornerstone Fund’s loan portfolio and facilitating new loan closings and disbursements. The Loan Portfolio Manager will be responsible for delivering excellent service to both internal and external clients and will manage the Cornerstone Fund loan portfolio, aiding in risk ratings and digitization of loan files, among other duties.

This position will also coach and assist lending team/client specialists in working with clients/prospects, including explaining CF policies and processes, and addressing client questions during the lending process.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate and orderly records and files;
  • Research, prepare and process mortgage satisfactions and partial releases for paid off loans;
  • Track and collect post-closing loan documents including original recorded loan documents and title policies;
  • Maintain loan document tracking report and other reports as assigned;
  • Assist in obtaining and maintaining updated evidence of property insurance;
  • Prepare payoff requests, statements, billing and general inquiries;
  • Enter, retrieve and monitor data into loan system, ensuring its integrity;
  • Validate loan information on system with documents in the loan file;
  • Process payments, payoffs and payoff quotes;
  • Assist in processing construction and line of credit draw requests;
  • Process and close loans as directed.
  • Provide high level of customer service to clients.
  • Prepare lending activity reports for management and loan committee per schedule and as needed.
  • Provide weekly reports for loan disbursements, monthly reports for loan approvals/activity, loans closed to date, modifications, delinquencies and other reports as required.
  • Become trained in other lending activities including underwriting for smaller requests and back up for other lending team activities

 

Attend to all Portfolio Management duties including:

  • Support the growth and development of the assigned lending loan portfolio by effectively managing client portfolios.
  • Review current account status, to include but not limited to, Past Due accounts and Loans Matured. Make appropriate recommendations for these accounts.
  • Effectively monitor portfolio for revenue opportunities and/or loan exposures.
  • Prepare monthly delinquency report and report deteriorating credit situations in a timely manner.
  • Participate in evaluating risk rating and make revision recommendations.
  • Research and respond to routine to moderately complex correspondence from clients or potential clients.
  • Work with clients to modify and/or restructure existing loans as needed.
  • Help resolve credit problems, delinquent payment issues, and other related affairs.
  • Provide ongoing support for underwriting team.

 

Assist with Loan Closings/Disbursements:

  • Responsible for ordering required title work, monitoring expediency, and resolving outstanding title issues with DL, title company and CF attorney.
  • Assist in loan document negotiations.
  • Complete all requirements of loan bookings in the Fund’s operating system, to include preparation, review, documentation, and filing.
  • Manage approved loans/renewals/modifications through the closing process.
  • Responsible for processing payments, payoffs and payoff quotes.
  • Responsible for processing construction and line of credit draw requests.
  • Responsible for processing and closing loans as directed.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to perform successfully in this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred.
  • Five to ten years of experience in a bank or lending setting and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of credit policies and standards and lending and lending policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with financial analysis and spreadsheet systems associated with lending
  • Formal credit training is a plus.
  • Notary license is required or needs to be obtained within first six (6) months.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a diverse and inclusive ministry environment, and willingness to learn and adapt to the UCC denominational culture.

OTHER:

This position is based in Cleveland, OH and may work from home on a hybrid schedule (part days in office and part days at home).
