Description

Position summary: Oversee production of the Printing and Lamination department

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Adjust machines as necessary
  • Assist with changeovers as necessary
  • Communicate quality issues to all necessary personnel
  • Complete all necessary production paperwork
  • Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Corrective Action team member
  • Ensure that the Print Cylinders are properly maintained
  • Monitor Color Matchers to ensure quality is being checked regularly; matching to the right color standard and are managing the ink level properly
  • Visual and Quality check as defined to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Checking glue lines and weight provided by product specification
  • Issue incoming material to shop orders and make transactions in our ERP/MRP system.
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel.
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices

Qualifications required:

5-10 years of experience in Rotogravure Printing and dry lamination using a variety of web materials

Experience in slitting

Experience using solvents

Experience of adhesive's

Good communication and organizational skills

Ability to be a valuable team member

Forklift license

Physical demands:

While performing duties of the job, occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
