$1,500 Sign-on Bonus*

Annual Salary: $32,635

Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; with rotating on-call responsibility

Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.

Full time Facilities MaintenanceTechnician works independently and performs various building repair and maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, masonry, locksand/or plumbing. Inspects buildings to identify needed maintenance and repair. Uses computer to input and update maintenance actions.

Requirements: Two (2) years experience in building maintenance. Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is a plus.

Valid Drivers License.Please submit your Department of Motor Vehicle driving record current within the last 60 days.

As a condition of employment with Hampton Newport News CSB, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID 19 or fit within an exemption under the law. Accordingly if selected, employment is conditioned on providing proof of vaccination or having an approved exemption prior to starting employment.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
