Description

Reimbursement Technician willassist will all aspects of billing and reimbursement functions. Duties include the following (list is not all inclusive):

Receiving transportation logs from agency locations and billing transportation to Logisticare, VA Premier and other managed care organizations;verifying Medicaid and other insurances; posting service tickets and billing logs when applicable; post payments and download remittances; monitor remittances from third party payers, pull claims, and transfer items from third party payers to client responsibility or secondary payor; post corrections to payment accounts; monitor EOB's for payment or correction; verify insurance, inform clinical staff when authorization is due and submit authorizations to Medicaid for various services; process and review billing claims and review and correct claim denials; provide back-up and support to the receptionist office of each location; other reimbursement duties as assigned.

 
Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.  Associates degree in Secretarial Science or related field preferred.  Experience in a professional office setting is essential. Billing/reimbursement experience is preferred.   Excellent computer and data entry skills required.  Good accounting and math skills are necessary.  Good written and oral communication skills required.  Willingness to travel, attend trainings, and be cross-trained as required.  Ability to use basic office equipment:  computer, printer, fax, electronic health record, billing systems, etc.

About the Organization CMCSB was formed in 1972 as a Chapter 10 Community Services Board under Virginia law. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
